Update, January 19, 2022: The nerf to the popular Classic gem Gem of the Mind Leap for TBC Classic documented in the original post did not go over too well with many Mage players. Why should the Trinket be further toned down in PvE just because it's way too powerful in PvP?
And Blizzard has heard the feedback! In the official forum, Community Manager Kaivax announced that there will be no weakening of the gem. Instead, the Trinket will now be completely banned in PvP arenas. Under the post, many WoW fans thanked the developers for this decision.
Original news from January 14, 2022: You have certainly noticed: The third phase of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic finally has a release date! Last night, Community Manager Kaivax revealed in the official WoW forum that the developers have planned various adjustments for the third PvP season. In order to minimize waiting times for arena games, the matchmaking will be adjusted. Specifically, the developers are expanding the rating range for opponents that can be assigned to you. Teams with a comparably high rating will continue to meet each other with priority.
