Recently, two new encrypted builds for patch 9.2.5 of WoW Shadowlands were uploaded to the Content Delivery Network (CDN). Through the CDN, World of Warcraft developers share data for upcoming updates and tinker with versions for the upcoming Test Realm (PTR).
On March 10, 2022, "WoW Vendor 2" for patch 9.2.5 build 42666 was loaded into the system. On March 12, the build number was changed from 42666 to 42712. Except for numerical codes for files like "BuildConfig" or the version names "18.104.22.168712!", no exact information can be found in the encrypted files yet, but it looks like the developers are working diligently on a PTR version for patch 9.2.5.Also read these interesting stories: 20
Patch 9.2 is the last major update for Shadowlands, but that doesn't mean that another intermediate patch can't be interesting. Patch 9.2.5 for WoW (buy now ) Shadowlands brings cross-faction instancesinto the game for the first time. With this feature, it will be possible for Horde and Alliance players to enter dungeons, raids and PvP instances together and be allowed to play together.
In addition, the update is supposed to show us the epilogue of Shadowlands, which might already get us in the mood for patch 10.0. When do you think patch 9.2.5 will be pushed to the live servers?
