The expansion World of Warcraft Shadowlands is live, and the next bug fixes and adjustments were delivered today in the form of hotfixes.
Below you can read the official patch notes. Hotfixes are updates that are applied server-side without the need to download new data. Some of the changes listed below will take effect as soon as Blizzard implements them, while others will only take effect after an announced realm restart. Please note that some issues cannot be fixed without a client-side patch. The full version 9.0.2 patch notes for Shadowlands can be found in this article. WoW: Shadowlands Patch 9.0.2 Hotfixes from January 6, 2021
Pacts
- Kyrian
- Fixed a bug where multiple players in the area could not receive progress at the same time during the "Devote to Pride" quest as intended.
- Alexandros Mograine is now helping players during the quest "Pursuit of Justice" again as intended.
- Fixed a bug where players who abandoned the quest "The Blue Seed" could not leave the cave to destroy the thorny vine blockade after accepting the quest again.
- Fixed a bug where the map marker for the quest "Deep into the Glass" was not displayed as intended for characters who had released their spirit after death.
- Night Fae
- The effect of Dreamweaver's Soulbond ability Soothing Voice can now be removed by effects such as Hand of Freedom.
- The starting location of the quest "Search the Grove" now has a marker and is easier to see on the map.
- Venthyr
- Fixed a bug where the quest "Sanctum Upgrade: Mirror Network" would show up twice for player characters who had completed Laurent's rescue mission.
- Fixed a bug where the campaign chapter progress text was prompting players to rescue Laurent from the Ember Quarter instead of the intended requirements to complete the chapter.
Creatures and NPCs
- Fixed a bug where players could not obtain loot from Shadowlands world bosses if the boss was defeated while the player was offline.
- Ice Berster's Pulsing Shards ability now deals the intended damage.
Dungeons & Raids
- Castle Nathria
- [North America Region Realms Only] Fixed a bug where the door to Constructor Xy'mox would not open after completing Saving the Sun King in the Reliquary of Opulence, the second wing of the raid browser.
- The Andre Page
- Mueh'zala
- Fixed a bug where Broken Soul was doing more damage than intended on Mythic Keystone difficulty.
- Time Walks
- The amount of loot per person from Time Walk raids has been reduced to match the loot odds from Shadowlands raids.
Items and Rewards
- Pact armor set bonuses now immediately disappear when the armor granting the set bonus is discarded.
- The Path of Greed effect granted by opening certain treasures in Revendreth can now be removed by right-clicking on the effect icon.
Pet Battles
- Certain low-level pet fighting quests can now be accepted by characters who have not completed the introductory Battle for Azeroth quests.
Quests
- Fixed a bug that prevented some players with active Threads of Destiny from using the Fall of Man flight master.
- Fixed a bug where the Tenth Lord could sometimes get stuck during the first stage of the Tenth Lord quest.
- Fixed a bug where level 50 characters could not accept the quest "Twilight Shore" for the journey to the Shadow Highlands.
- Fixed a bug that prevented certain characters from accepting the "Light, Camera, and Action" quest.
Torghast, Tower of the Damned.
- [Live on North America Region Realms. After server restarts in other regions] Some of the weekly delays between certain quests offered by Bolvar Fordragon in the Torghast storyline have been removed.
- Animaboni
- Fixed a bug where class-specific animaboni for Demon Hunters, Death Knights, Monks, and Rogues were not appearing in Looted Anima Cells.
- Death Knight
- Call of the Horsemen now resets the cooldown of Black Gate when you level up.
World quests
- Fixed a bug related to the "Don't Forget" world quest in Bastion where players were not receiving progress for the "What Bastion Remembered" achievement when completing Kalisthene's Story.
- The enemies required for the quest "Dispel Their Fears" now appear more frequently.
