The time travel events are among the more popular of the weekly events in WoW. They allow you to revisit the dungeons of the past expansions in a scaled-down version and get some interesting equipment, especially for twinks. Above all, however, the crate that you get for completing four of the dungeons is an incentive for many characters to take trips into WoW's past.
In addition, the Legion Time Migration also brings back the Mage Tower, for which Blizzard has already written an official preview. However, the current release is all about the rest of the content. Because with the Legion Time Migration, we also get Time Migration dungeons with Mythic Plus functionality for the first time. Among other things, Blizzard will introduce you to the dungeons selected for this and explain how the time migration keystone system works. Of course, you will also get an overview of the potential rewards of the time migration.
Get ready for a devilish paradox of space-time: Legion 's Time Walks are here!
Players can revisit six familiar Legion dungeons for new rewards during this week's bonus event. The strength of your player character and items will be downgraded to match the challenge level, but the bosses will drop loot appropriate for your actual level. In time-walking dungeons, there is also a chance to obtain items that are normally dropped in the heroic versions of these dungeons. You'll also increase your reputation with the faction that is interested in the dungeon.
You'll also be able to complete Anachronistic Keystone Dungeons to grab powerful loot and face Mage Tower challenges - but only while the event is active.
This week you can expect:
Simply open the group browser (default shortcut: "I"), then select the dungeon browser, and then select "Random Time Migration Dungeon" from the drop-down list. Then click "Find a Group" to join other players in one of the following heroic dungeons:
The Raven's Weapon
The stonemasons of the ancient elves once carved the Raven's Weir from one of the largest mountains in Val'sharah, making it a bulwark against the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancestors. This nearly impregnable fortress is also the ancestral home of Lord Kur'talos Ravencrown, once the mentor of Illidan himself. However, since the Legion's recent attack, a dark energy has been seeping from the Raven's Weir, and the restless dead have been wreaking havoc in the surrounding lands.
The Court of Stars
Even now, as Legion troops patrol the streets and shroud the great city of Suramar in shadow, the nobility of the Nightborn cling to their customs and routines. On this clear night, the most imposing mansion of the noble district hosts a grand gala, and the cheers of revelers echo through the chilly air. According to the rumors, Grand Magistrix Elisande is to appear in person to appease some of her closest allies regarding the recent unrest.
The Darkheart Thicket
In the shadow of Shaladrassil, nightmare permeates every inch of the once lush forest. Where the oldest and most powerful druids once tended the trees and meditated beneath the giant World Tree, corruption and madness now reign. Deep in the tangled thicket, the Nightmare Lord Xavius works to break the will of his greatest catch.
The Eye of Azshara
Amidst remote shoals on the coast of Azsuna rests an ancient source of power beneath the waves. Long ago, the power of Queen Azshara reached these lands, and the naga who seek Golganneth's Tide Stone still follow her instructions. As the clouds gather and the air is filled with the crackle of the impending storm, Azshara's followers prepare a ritual to summon an embodiment of her wrath to devastate the lands.
Neltharion's Hoard
The Earthguard Neltharion, later known as Deathwing, once called this cave his home. After his fall, the Drogbar who once worshipped him established their capital within his ancient lair. Dargrul, the Drogbar chieftain, is now amassing a vast army in the depths. Bolstered by the power of the Hammer of Khaz'goroth, this army could burst from the slopes at any moment, lay waste to Highmountain, and threaten the safety of all Azeroth.
The Guardians' Dungeon
This secret facility of the Guardians was carved into a mountainside deep within Azsuna and sealed with magical protections to keep out intruders and ensure that the horrors imprisoned there would never escape. Many of the Guardians' most dangerous foes were locked deep within the dungeon, but after Candana's betrayal and the Legion's attack, these creatures now roam its halls freely.
More information and tips on each dungeon's bosses, as well as possible loot, can be found in the Adventure Guide (Shift + J). Simply select "Legion" from the drop-down menu under the "Dungeons" tab.
If you're looking for a special challenge, you can take any Mythic Keystones you have to Ta'hsup in Oribos to exchange them for an Anachronistic Keystone. Anachronistic Keystones can be used during the event just like a Mythic Keystone in any of Legion 's six dungeons. Anachronistic Keystones at level 10 and above have a special Legion-related affix: Hellish. When this affix is active, Hellish Fanals can be found near some bosses. When a Fanal is activated or combat is started with a nearby boss, it triggers a Legion invasion.
Anachronistic Keystone dungeons adjust to your level, and the chest to be captured at the end contains equipment from that dungeon with an item level equal to the difficulty of the Anachronistic Keystone. This equipment can be upgraded using Valor Points, just like any other high level equipment you can obtain through Mythic Keystone dungeons. Completion of these dungeons will count toward your progress for the Great Treasury, but Legion Anachronistic Keystone items may not appear as loot options when claiming Great Treasury rewards.
The unspeakable horrors that spread to the Devastated Isles with Legion's invasion are back. Master the challenges of the Tower and secure incredible rewards - as well as achievements and eternal glory, of course. Learn more about the return of the Mage Tower.
You can also pay a visit to the Timewalk Merchant Aridormi in Dalaran (above the Devastated Isles). She is waiting to trade your hard-earned Time Warped badges for enticing rewards:
And much more! Additional Legion gear will be available through merchants during the event.
The bonus event system consists of a rotation of different activities that currently begin weekly on Tuesday. Each bonus event awards you a passive bonus for a specific in-game activity and offers you a quest once per event with a reward for completing a corresponding objective. Check the in-game calendar regularly for upcoming events. You can find active bonus events in the Adventure Guide and easily accept any quests associated with the bonus event of the week.
