Sometimes there are very many, sometimes only very few, now and then Blizzard even tried to abolish them completely - but quickly returned to them. We're talking about BoEs, items that are bound when you create them, which are traditionally captured from trash opponents in WoW raids. These are not stronger than the rest of the raid loot, but can be traded back and forth between players in a server group without restrictions or even sold in the auction house, allowing twinks to be quickly equipped or gaps in their own equipment to be filled. Or give world-first guilds an advantage.
In the new raid of WoW Patch 9.2, the Mausoleum of the First, there will again be such BoEs. More specifically, each armor class will receive two different items. However, these will be far less interesting for many players than in the past, as they share a slot with one of the tier set items in seven out of eight cases.
There will be two new BoEs in the Mausoleum for each armor class.
There are two things that immediately catch the eye. First, the Chain Shoes are the only items from the list that aren't in a tier set slot, so they'll probably be the most interesting. As a reminder, the new tier sets are on helmet, shoulders, chest, gloves and pants, as in the past.
Secondly, all BoE items without exception have the same two secondary stats: speed and mastery. In three cases even with the exact same values. An exception are again the chain items. In that case, however, it is simply because there are generally more secondary values on a helmet than on the rest of the available slots.
04:37This generally leads to two questions. Are the value distributions in this form already final or are they just placeholders? On the one hand, it would of course make sense not to favor anyone and give everyone the same values, but on the other hand, this was never the case in the past and the classes also scale very differently with the values. Which leads us to the second question. Are the items found by the dataminers perhaps not yet all and there are still more to follow, which straighten the picture again?
That would be quite a lot of BoE items, which Blizzard actually wants to avoid.Of course, it must be noted that this is the PTR. So Blizzard can still react at any time and adjust the items of the chain bearers so that they are in line with those of the other armor classes. Otherwise, maybe they should clarify in a statement why they decided to give chain wearers an extra sausage here. Because we're certainly not the only ones who are irritated by this. What do you think about raid BoE items in general - are you pro or con BoEs?
