Update as of January 08, 2020:
Community Manager Kaivax updated the post linked below in the official WoW forum a few hours ago: Your Titan Residue will not be converted to Silver with the start of the new season, but with the release of WoW Patch 8.3 next week, which is January 15, 2020.
Original post from October 30, 2019:
Until now, every time WoW: Battle for Azeroth changed seasons, you were allowed to take your collected Titan Residue with you into the new season, but the cost of Thaumaturge Vashreen's goods increased noticeably in parallel. In the official forum of World of Warcraft (buy now 14,99 € ) a player recently asked whether the currency will also play a role with the upcoming WoW Patch 8.3. The answer from Community Manager Kaivax followed promptly.
The developers at Blizzard are planning a change for the upcoming season change: with the start of the new season of BfA, your Titan Residuum will be converted into silver. At the same time, the designers are adjusting how much Titan Residuum you can earn through the known sources, or how much Titan Residuum the items of the next season will cost. After the reset, Titan Residuum should work the same way it did in seasons 2 and 3.
The reason for this change: On the one hand, the developers feel that most players don't see a big advantage in being able to take their accumulated Titan Residuum with them into the new season. Secondly, unlike the first group, a few players, according to Blizzard, feel that saving titan residue for the next season is an unfortunate commitment.
