GameVault's: World of Warcraft Edition focuses on the Horde and Alliance as adversaries. The basic version of the tabletop game is designed for two players and may be expanded further if the freshly launched Kickstarter campaign is successful. The tabletop game comes in the form of a large tome that can be folded out to form a playing field. The gameplay is simple: the Horde and Alliance heroes must conquer all territories one by one. Whoever claims the entire field at the end is the winner.
As mentioned above, GameVaults is working closely with Blizzards on this WoW project. Matt Beecher, VP of Global Consumer Products at Blizzard Entertainment, is involved in this collaboration and writes the following about GameVaults: World of Warcraft Edition:
"We're always looking to work with world-class licensees that enrich our fans' experience with our IP. When GameVaults came to us with their epic vision for GameVaults: World of Warcraft Edition and its hybrid collectibles/tabletop game experience, we were blown away. The scope of gameplay - 88 million possible moves - and the level of detail is stunning. We're very excited to support this talented team as they create something truly special for World of Warcraft fans."
The game board, or vault, was designed by Edge Toy, who has designed several settings for theme parks and attractions for Lucasfilm and Disney. The detailed resin miniatures are from the 3D printer. The figures of the Horde and Alliance leaders, as well as the creatures and terrain, are small masterpieces and make a mighty impression both in-game and as collectibles. You can read more about the Kickstarter project, the miniatures, and the first version of the game rules on the official site. The deadline for GameVaults: World of Warcraft Edition is July 27, 2021, so if you want to support the developers, be sure to hurry!Support buffed - it will only take a minute. Thank you!
