With the many changes coming to WoW with patch 9.1.5, Blizzard's co-lead Mike Ybarra is also being urged by players on Twitter to make more changes - such as removing the AoE cap. If you follow his Twitter account, you can see that Blizzard's new co-lead is a true gamer and plays WoW at the highest level. Both this season and last Mythic-Plus season, he has mastered keystones to 20+ in time.

As part of the company's dual leadership, Ybarra has some power, but states that he does not run WoW (Buy Now €14.99 )

Mike Ybarra likes to listen to community feedback and is passionate about the game himself. However, he leaves the decisions about WoW to game director Ion Hazzikostas. Blizzard's co-lead also streams on Twitch, by the way, where he plays a number of other games besides WoW and has offered to tackle Final Fantasy 14 for Max von Limit (World 2nd WoW guild).

Whether this is such a good advertisement for WoW, however...

The WoW team is often accused of making some decisions in a certain way only because it was ordered by the top management. At least with the new leadership team, that doesn't seem to be the case. Mike Ybarra, as we can see, stands behind Ion Hazzikostas' decisions - at least that's what he communicates to the outside world. In that regard, it's refreshing to see a high-ranking Blizzard employee so much in communication with the community.
